Hemmingford, Quebec Cemetery Records

Welcome! This database has been carefully created by Garry and Jeannie Bickes.  It is copyrighted and may not be reproduced in whole or in part for any commercial purpose.  These records were first presented online Feb. 12, 1999 as a contribution to the 1999 Hemmingford Bicentennial.
* From 2012 to 2014 there were added 1140 new listings of unmarked or unidentifiable Catholic graves from 1845-1940 data in St-Romain (Hemmingford) Catholic church records.

Hemmingford is located in the former Huntingdon County in the southwest area of Quebec Province, about 45 minutes south of Montreal near the US border.

The main database was compiled mainly from readable gravestone inscriptions from all the following known Hemmingford and area cemeteries (which could also be called "outdoor museums"). Entries showing "no stone", "unknown stone", or if no specific stone is mentioned were taken from church records.

The cemetery records, which total over 7500, are combined and sorted by last name.  Death dates range from 1808 to 2017.
